Job summary

One Community Health is seeking a Referral Coordinator to support our medical, dental, and behavioral health teams. You will coordinate referrals, communicate with patients and outside partners, and verify insurance coverage to help patients access scheduled appointments and services.

The role is based in our White Salmon clinic, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of clerical/administrative experience in medical/dental settings or equivalent
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong written and verbal communication
• HIPAA/privacy law compliance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Customer service and workplace safety awareness
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic community healthcare environment
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with accuracy

Responsibilities

• Coordinate referrals with patients and outside partners (fax, phone, computer)
• Process and track referrals, verify insurance coverage
• Gather required information and maintain records
• Support medical, dental, and behavioral health teams
• Communicate effectively to schedule appointments and provide information
