Job summary

The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is seeking a Referent Relations Specialist to guide referents, patients and families to the best clinical solutions within our system of care. You will handle intake, assessments and referrals, while building relationships with professional referents and healthcare partners.

Responsibilities include guiding callers from initial contact through admissions, coordinating with scheduling and treatment teams, and ensuring accurate communication of patient progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social services, business or related field or equivalent experience.
• Associate degree with 4 years related work experience.
• HSD/GED with 6 years related work experience.
• In-depth knowledge of chemical dependency and 12-Step Programs.
• Minimum 2 years customer services or sales experience.
• Chemical dependency experience with screening, intake, crisis intervention and customer service (preferred).
• Intake experience with all levels of care (preferred).
• Experience in a behavioral health setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Referent Relations provides intake and comprehensive assessment services to prospective clients.
• Assess, screen, manage, and convert callers to the appropriate program and manage the intake through admissions and discharges.
• Post admissions support and coordination with scheduling, admissions and treatment teams.
• Build and expand relationships with referents via outbound calls and face-to-face meetings.
• Communicate patient information to represent progress according to standards.
