Job summary

The Utah Department of Corrections is seeking a Reentry Housing Coordinator for West Jordan, UT. This on-site role focuses on establishing housing pathways for individuals transitioning from state facilities, while coordinating with housing authorities, grant networks, landlords, and service providers.

Ideal candidates will navigate barriers, integrate wrap-around supports, and collaborate with discharge planners and probation staff to ensure safe housing and successful community reintegration.

Qualifications

• Housing Systems Knowledge including HUD programs and local Utah housing inventory.
• Understanding of how stable housing links to workforce development and healthcare.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and risk-reduction strategies.
• Ability to engage private landlords, non-profits, and government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a network of housing providers and local authorities.
• Assess housing barriers and map tailored stabilization plans with wrap-around services.
• Coordinate 90-day pre-release housing planning and warm handoffs to community housing.
• Bridge non-profit housing and probation/parole teams while ensuring safety and compliance.
• Track placement timelines and evaluate contract performance for state-funded housing.
