Job summary

Detroit Recovery Project seeks a dedicated Project Coordinator to support justice-involved adults with substance use disorders, coordinating reentry planning, engagement, case management, and connections to community resources.

Under the RISE UP Project Director, you will collaborate with correctional facilities, probation and parole offices, and community partners to facilitate referrals and maintain participant records, monitor outcomes, and support program evaluation and grant reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Valid & unrestricted State of Michigan Driver’s License.
• At least one year of experience providing reentry support, case management, recovery support, or related community services.
• Familiarity with the justice system, reentry process, and barriers faced by individuals returning to the community.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily participant outreach, engagement, follow-up, and reentry support activities.
• Carry out assigned responsibilities in accordance with grant requirements.
• Coordinate referrals with correctional facilities and community partners.
• Meet with individuals who are incarcerated or returning to the community to identify needs and support reentry planning.
• Assist participants with case management needs and connect them with housing, employment, transportation, and healthcare services.
• Maintain participant information, referrals, and follow-up in the program’s database.
• Monitor engagement and progress toward reentry goals.
• Collaborate with the Project Director and Evaluator to monitor outcomes and grant progress.
