Job summary

Cherry Health in Detroit, MI is seeking a Correctional Residential Re‑entry Care Coordinator to support residents reintegrating after incarceration. This role operates under the FBOP contract, balancing safety with hands-on resident support in a 24/7 residential setting.

You will orient new residents, monitor activity, document thoroughly, and coordinate medication, meals, and transport while upholding facility rules and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid MI driver’s license required.
• CPR certification required or must be completed within the first week of employment.
• Associate degree in Human Services or a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Orient and intake new residents; explain facility rules and expectations.
• Provide guidance to clients with questions or concerns.
• Maintain detailed documentation of client activities and information.
• Monitor client activities on campus and in the community using headcounts and GPS.
• Ensure residents sign in/out and monitor traffic of clients/visitors.
• Conduct searches of facility and belongings; perform urinalysis tests as required.
• Oversee residents’ medication administration and meal/transport distribution.
• Transport residents using company vehicles when needed.
