Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. in Bakersfield, CA, is seeking a dedicated program coordinator to support participants in developing treatment plans and managing caseloads within an evidence-based framework.

You’ll work under the program manager, applying What Works principles, coordinating services, and ensuring timely discharge reports while upholding confidentiality and safety standards for participants and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or equivalent experience working with criminal justice population.
• Familiar with community corrections systems and current community corrections practices.
• Ability to write clear concise reports in English using correct grammar.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conducts risk/need assessments and creates individual treatment plans for each assigned participant to establish measurable criteria of expected behavior and accomplishments and a time frame for achieving specified goals.
• Facilitates psycho-educational/behavior modification groups using evidence-based curriculum.
• Assists participants to establish personal budget, locate suitable housing, enroll in educational and vocational programs and participate in family and community activities.
• Prepares discharge reports within established time parameters upon participant release to summarize program performance.
• Maintains confidentiality obtained through job duties regarding employees, vendors, participants, and outside agencies.
• Communicates effectively with all levels of staff to promote teamwork and cooperation.
