Job summary

The GEO Group provides evidence-based rehabilitation services to government partners. The role supports reentry through CBIP, Victim Impact, SAFE, and Relapse Prevention modules, applying What Works principles in all interactions with participants and GEO staff.

We seek a structured, compassionate professional with a background in social sciences and strong counseling and group facilitation skills to help participants prepare for community reintegration and successful post-release outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or related field required.
• Experience as facilitator/educator/group moderator required.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of correctional system and Principles of Effective Intervention.

Responsibilities

• Delivers cognitive behavioral curriculum in individual and group settings.
• Maintains class rosters, attendance records, and provides completion certificates.
• Assesses participant needs and makes referrals to management.
• Provides individual and group counseling on self-esteem, problem solving, relationships.
• Communicates with participants regarding reentry planning and community resources.
• Aids participants in planning post-release plans and accountability for post-release behaviors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
