Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician in Garyville, LA to maintain and repair diesel equipment including tractors, trailers, and lift gates. You will perform routine maintenance, document repairs and work with partners to stay compliant with DOT standards.

The role requires at least 3 years of hands-on reefer experience, TK/Carrier certifications, willingness to travel, and your own tools. Onsite work with a strong safety culture offers solid benefits and growth potential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration experience.
• TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications required.
• Willingness to travel for training.
• Must furnish own personal hand tools.
• Ability to read and understand technical/service manuals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates).
• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Respond to road calls, coordinate with third-party vendors and plan actions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per rules and guidelines.
• Document repairs and parts used in fleet software tablet.
• Provide backup to other maintenance staff.
• Willing to increase responsibilities and obtain certificates.
• Mentor other maintenance personnel.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
