Job summary

The Salvation Army in Wisconsin is seeking a Kettle Coordinator to run the Red Kettle Campaign day-to-day, coordinating volunteers, scheduling shifts, and building community support through local partnerships.

You will manage kettles, collect and transfer funds, promote bell ringing opportunities, and ensure compliance with guidelines, helping provide meals, shelter and utility aid to families in need year-round.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating volunteers or events.
• Ability to communicate with diverse community groups.
• Proven customer service or sales interaction experience.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and sign up volunteer bell ringers & groups with dates, times and locations.
• Contact volunteers via phone or email to schedule ringing times.
• Call local businesses to secure kettle sponsorship.
• Organize kettle pickups and write bucket slips.
• Sort kettle money with volunteers per guidelines and transfer to bank.
• Drop off and pick up kettles when the driver is unavailable.
• Promote bell ringing opportunities within the community.
• Maintain kettle equipment and inspect for damage.
• Send thank you notes to volunteers and kettle locations.
• Update Field Rep weekly with bucket location and totals.
• Complete end-of-season paperwork and submit to Field Rep.
