Job summary

Northwestern Mutual in San Francisco is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator – Candidate Sourcing to own the top of the funnel. You’ll partner with two Talent Acquisition Partners in Walnut Creek to keep their calendars full with qualified initial interviews.

You’ll source, you’ll schedule, and you’ll ensure candidates arrive prepared for the moments that matter, while the TAPs drive the conversations and closes. You’ll join a Bay Area recruiting team spanning four offices.

Recruiting Coordinator - Candidate Sourcing

About the role

This is a top-of-funnel seat. You'll partner directly with two Talent Acquisition Partners (TAP) in our Walnut Creek office - our highest-growth market - and own one thing above all: keeping their calendars full of qualified initial interviews. You source, you schedule, and you make sure candidates show up ready for the moments that matter most. The TAPs run the conversations and close.

You'll sit in San Francisco, but you're part of one recruiting team spanning four Bay Area offices (San Francisco, Walnut Creek, Redwood City and Monterey).

What you'll own

Sourcing

• Work inbound leads daily (Indeed, LinkedIn, job boards) - dial fast, no lead sits more than 24 hours
• Run outbound sourcing on LinkedIn and other platforms to build Walnut Creek and East Bay candidate flow
• Track which sources convert and shift your time toward what works

Scheduling

• Book initial interviews directly onto your TAPs' calendars - you own their top-of-funnel volume
• Manage rescheduling fast so candidates don't go cold

In-Person Interview Support

• Confirm every in-person interview with Managing Directors and directors
• Welcome candidates on-site for in-person interviews; you're the first face of the office

Candidate Experience & Events

• Keep candidate-facing marketing materials stocked, current, and on-brand for the Walnut Creek office
• Support community recruiting events - logistics, materials, on-site presence

What success looks like

Your Talent Acquisition Partners never start a week with an empty calendar, and no candidate ever no-shows a Managing Director. You'll carry a monthly scheduled-initials target standard - clear numbers, calibrated to what this seat has actually produced, locked in during your first 90 days.

What we're looking for

• Phone-first mentality - you'd rather call than email, and rejection doesn't stick to you
• Sourcing, inside sales, appointment-setting, or high-volume scheduling background strongly preferred
• Warm and polished in person - comfortable being the face candidates meet at the door
• Organized under volume; nothing falls through
