The University of Richmond is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to serve as the primary point of contact for prospective Professional Education students. This onsite role supports enrollment growth through recruiting, engagement, and outreach, with responsibilities spanning inquiry management, CRM-based student tracking, event representation, and partnership development. The position also contributes to enrollment-focused communications and marketing/engagement efforts in collaboration with internal teams.
Role Overview
- Manage inquiries from individuals interested in Professional Education programs, including departmental email inbox ownership and timely responses or routing for phone, email, and in-person questions.
- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of the Professional Education portfolio to answer program questions, recommend appropriate options, and create and deliver presentations and other informational resources.
- Engage prospective students through phone, email, individual meetings, presentations, information sessions, and other outreach activities.
- Use the School’s CRM, Slate, to document, track, and advance prospective students through the enrollment process.
Enrollment, Outreach, and Partnerships
- Collaborate with Senior Program Managers, the Associate Dean of Enrollment Management and Admissions (ADEMA), and the Marketing & Engagement team to develop and execute comprehensive enrollment and outreach plans.
- Represent SPCS and the University at community and educational events, employment fairs, professional conferences, and other recruitment and outreach opportunities across the Richmond region and beyond.
- Track and report on enrollment and engagement activities and the effectiveness of recruitment strategies; recommend improvements and maintain related standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Build a research process and pipeline to identify businesses, employers, educational institutions, professional associations, and community organizations that may benefit from Professional Education programming and customized training.
- Conduct initial inbound and outbound partnership outreach, including preliminary conversations to understand organizational needs and assess alignment with Professional Education capabilities.
- Track partnership prospects, activities, and outcomes, and transition qualified opportunities to Senior Program Managers and/or the Director of Professional Education for relationship development, program design, and implementation.
Communications, Events, and Program Support
- Support enrollment-focused communications to prospective, current, and former students in collaboration with Senior Program Managers and the Marketing & Engagement team.
- Provide program updates and changes to the Marketing & Engagement team.
- Review prospective student questions, feedback, interests, and inquiry trends, then share insights with internal teams.
- Provide program knowledge and prospective student insights to support print materials, digital advertising, email campaigns, presentations, and social media content.
- Support outreach through professional associations, employers, educational institutions, alumni, and community organizations to increase Professional Education visibility.
- Plan, coordinate, and support campus, community, organization-specific, and virtual events that promote Professional Education and engage prospective students.
- Serve as a point of contact for vendors, venues, professional organizations, and partner organizations, coordinating event logistics, materials, staffing, and technology.
- Evaluate and report on event effectiveness as enrollment and engagement strategies.
- Assist Program Managers with program administration, instructor communication, and student support.
- Coordinate logistics for Professional Education classes, orientations, instructor trainings, graduations, and other program activities.
- Provide basic classroom technology and logistical support to instructors, including assistance with preparation and distribution of program materials and student communications.
- Identify and recommend processes, tools, and practices to improve the student experience, enrollment processes, or departmental efficiency, and provide additional program support as directed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Understanding of the operations/processes of higher education.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across program, marketing, administrative, and leadership teams.
- Experience in higher ed, continuing and professional education, student engagement, enrollment management, recruitment, sales, community outreach, workforce development, or a related field preferred.
- Experience developing relationships with prospective students, customers, clients, community organizations, or business partners preferred.
- Experience with program administration, project management, event coordination, or partnership development preferred.
- Experience using software and enrollment systems, including Microsoft Office, Zoom, and CRM systems for managing relationships preferred.
- Comfortable greeting and speaking to the public.
- Physically capable of setting up displays, display tents, tables, and signage, and able to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to move, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds.
Schedule and Working Conditions
- Onsite role in Richmond, VA.
- University office hours: 8:30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, 38.75 hours per week.
- Required to work evenings and weekends as needed for special events.
- Environment may require work on campus and other on-campus locations or off-campus venues; required to work outside on occasion.

Compensation
- Salary range: USD 43,867 to 58,136 per year.
- Salary exempt grade: 5.
