Job summary

Astranis is seeking a Recruiting Coordination Lead in San Francisco to scale our coordination function as hiring volumes grow. You will lead coordinators, design the end-to-end process, and own both scheduling logistics and Early Careers partnerships.

You will publish SOPs, SLAs, and build a career ladder while partnering with recruiters and interviewers to optimize capacity and candidate experience. This role reports to the Head of Talent and sits on the Recruiting leadership team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in recruiting coordination or related talent operations roles.
• 1-2+ years directly managing a team of coordinators.
• Proven track record building/ maturing coordination processes with measurable results.
• AT S proficiency and scheduling platforms (Greenhouse and ModernLoop).
• Experience owning or contributing to university or Early Careers programs.
• Ability to define metrics and report to leadership and drive process changes.
• Exceptional organizational skills with multiple priorities and escalation handling under pressure.
• Strong communication across all levels of the organization.
• Experience scaling coordination during high-volume hiring in hardware/aerospace/deep-tech settings.
• Experience in People Operations or broader HR operations.
• Experience designing interviewer training or candidate experience programs.

Responsibilities

• Scale our recruiting coordination function by building the systems: tooling, SOPs, SLAs, and metrics for reliable scheduling and interview logistics as hiring volume grows.
• Oversee Recruiting Coordination and own Early Careers hiring; formalize a manager-led program and external university partnerships.
• Report to the Head of Talent and participate in the Recruiting leadership team.
• Lead and develop the coordination team, set role expectations, career ladder, and coverage model.
• Design end-to-end coordination processes: intake, scheduling, interview logistics, onsite/virtual loops, debriefs, and offer logistics.
• Publish SOPs and SLAs by stage and enforce accountability.
• Own scheduling and ATS stack (Greenhouse, ModernLoop, and adjacent tools).
• Own Early Careers hiring plans, requisition processes, and operating model maintaining manager-led process.
• Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers to set capacity and pool calibration.
• Improve candidate experience from first touch to offer, including communication standards and escalation paths.
• Build onboarding and training for coordinators to shorten ramp-up time.
• Plan coordination capacity against hiring forecast and justify headcount or tooling needs.
