Job summary

Responsibilities

Job description

The Recruiter will support full life cycle recruiting for multiple company functions at Summit Midstream Corporation. This hybrid role in Houston partners with HRBPs and leadership to source, screen, coordinate interviews, and manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions.
• Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to confirm role requirements, sourcing approach, and interview plan.
• Create and open requisitions in the company’s applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Post roles to relevant job boards using available resources.
• Proactively source and review candidates daily, including passive candidates, through job boards, social media, and networking to build a pipeline.
• Phone screen candidates and document feedback as directed by management or the assigned HRBP.
• Schedule in-person interviews and act as a liaison between candidates and the company.
• Provide candidate status updates through multiple communication resources.
• Initiate reference checks and other assessments as required.
• Assist with background checks and drug screens.
• Arrange candidate travel plans as needed.
• Partner with the HRBP to develop competitive offer terms, extend offers, and negotiate terms to close hires.
• Attend recruiting events, including college and military career fairs, in support of the company.
• Maintain accuracy of the ATS and candidate tracking reports.
• Deliver weekly recruiting reports to management.
• Support new employee onboarding and orientation as needed.
• Complete special projects requested by HR, including training and development.
• Perform other HR-related administrative tasks, including communications and social media.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (required).
• Relevant experience (preferred).
• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) (preferred).
• Proficiency in candidate sourcing techniques and tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and social media platforms.
• Working knowledge of employment law as applicable to the hiring function.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust with candidates and employees.
• Strong time management and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to track and interpret recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill and pipeline conversion to support sourcing strategy and reporting.
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality while recognizing issues that should be escalated to management.
• Flexibility and ability to prioritize effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment and accept constructive feedback.
• Professionalism and ability to interface with employees across all levels, up to executive leadership.

Work Location and Schedule

Physical Requirements

• Occasional travel within the United States, including some overnight stays.
• Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently, to lift, carry, push, pull, or move materials for job fairs.
• Manual dexterity to operate a computer and office equipment.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, talk on a headset, and type into templates displayed on a computer monitor.
