What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Identify, recruit, and enroll eligible children and families in the Migrant Education Program
- Conduct personal interviews to determine family eligibility and complete electronic Certificates of Eligibility (eCOEs)
- Canvass local areas for residence-based recruitment, including door-to-door outreach
- Maintain communication with families and provide information about program services and benefits
- Record and document recruitment efforts daily, ensuring all reports are up to date
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Verbal and written bilingual skills in English and an identified alternative language (e.g., Spanish, Karen, Somali)
- Minimum of two years of experience in recruitment, outreach, marketing, sales, or a similar role within Migrant Education or Head Start
- Familiarity with the culture and lifestyle of migrant, seasonal, low-income, and at-risk families
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and the internet
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current vehicle insurance
