Job summary

Ascend Staffing is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Recruiter to join our team in Sterling, VA. In this role, you'll recruit, interview, hire, onboarding, and support employees placed at client locations.

You'll also assist with daily branch operations, provide excellent customer service, and maintain strong relationships with clients and employees. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, comfortable using technology, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced

Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, interview, hire, and onboard qualified candidates for various employment opportunities.
• Conduct new hire orientations and complete required employment paperwork.
• Utilize the company's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage candidate information, employee records, and job placements. Training will be provided.
• Source candidates through job boards, social media platforms, referrals, and other recruiting resources.
• Schedule interviews, coordinate employee placements, and communicate regularly with candidates and clients.
• Monitor employee attendance, performance, and assignment status.
• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, candidates, and employees.
• Collaborate with the Branch Manager to establish and achieve weekly recruiting and operational goals.
• Provide excellent customer service through phone calls, emails, messaging platforms, and in-person interactions.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all required information is entered into company systems.
• Prioritize daily responsibilities and respond promptly to urgent staffing needs.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support client and employee needs outside regular business hours.
• Maintain regular and reliable on-site attendance, an essential function of this position.
