The City of Missouri City seeks a full-time Recreation Center Manager for the Recreation Division to oversee operations, staffing, programs, memberships, cost centers, and financial performance of the Recreation & Tennis Center. This role reports to the Recreation Superintendent and requires strong leadership in budget and program management.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation management or related field is required.
• Minimum of four (4) years progressively responsible professional experience in recreation facility management, including three (3) years of supervisory experience.
• Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) preferred; experience with cost-recovery or enterprise-fund models is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Develop and administer the Recreation & Tennis Center’s annual operating, staffing, and equipment budgets; track expenditures against approved budgets.
• Establish cost-center accounting and tracking systems for staff time, per-program and per-activity cost analysis, and membership revenue tracking.
• Hire, train, and evaluate full-time and part-time staff, including performance reviews and addressing issues.
• Develop and implement a multi-year strategy to advance cost recovery and monitor progress against benchmarks.
• Evaluate programs and services for enrollment trends, cost center performance, customer satisfaction, and overall facility impact.
• Oversee contracts, including instructor agreements and service/vendor contracts, and ensure compliance with service delivery goals.
• Manage facility operations and the physical environment, including equipment, maintenance, and safety standards.
• Prepare and present reports on financial performance, program outcomes, membership metrics, and cost recovery progress.
