Deerfield Park District is seeking a detail-oriented Registrar to serve as the first point of contact for park patrons at the Jewett Park Community Center registration office and by phone. You will manage program registrations, cashiering, refunds, transfers, and day-to-day customer support to keep recreation programs running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in business, recreation, or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of three years in registration or customer service.
• Experience with park district or recreation agency operations is strongly preferred.
• Experience with RecTrac or similar registration software is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, register patrons for programs, season passes, and activities; handle cashier duties and deposits.
• Answer calls, route messages, monitor email, and process refunds and transfers from waitlists.
• Explain and troubleshoot the registration website; input data into RecTrac as needed.
• Set up and monitor payment plans; prepare registration materials and manage projects.
• Take photos for passes; process park permits and event tickets; direct patrons to rooms and classes.
• Maintain tidy registration area and assist patrons and children with first aid when needed.
