Job summary

The Park District of Highland Park is seeking a Front Desk Representative for Deer Creek Racquet Club, Highland Park, IL. This year-round, part-time role emphasizes strong customer service, cash handling, and registration duties.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, processing registrations and payments, and serving as the face of the facility. Prior cashier experience and awareness of alcohol-service age rules are advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• 21+ years of age or older may be required for alcohol service.

Responsibilities

• Serve as front desk representative during shift and provide customer service.
• Handle registrations and memberships in Plan2Play and process transactions.
• Manage cash drawers and daily close-out of POS systems.
• Greet participants, answer questions, and provide facility information.
• Ensure accuracy of paperwork and balance receipts at end of shift.
• Support facility operations and respond to participant needs during shifts.
• Communicate issues to team and maintain neat, orderly work area.
