Job summary

Bridgeway Behavioral Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Wellness Specialist to join the Community Support Services team in Hudson/Essex counties, home base in Union.

The role focuses on resource and skill development to help clients with serious mental illness integrate into their chosen communities. The incumbent will work under CSS regulations, contribute to IRP development, provide counseling and education, and participate in crisis intervention as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in helping professions or higher required.
• Bachelor's degree in helping professions or higher required.
• Master's degree in helping professions preferred.
• Two years of experience in a community-based behavioral healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide resource development, skill development and direct support to assist people with serious mental illness to integrate into the community.
• Engage in recovery-oriented environment using person-first language and evidence-based practices.
• Coordinate and manage services with the multidisciplinary team and perform chart documentation per CSS regulations.
