Job summary

Bridgeway Behavioral Health Services in Fords, NJ seeks a Wellness Specialist to support the Community Support Services team. You will help people with serious mental illness develop skills, access resources, and integrate into their chosen communities using evidence-based practices.

The role involves crisis intervention, coordination with licensed staff, and development of IRP/CRNA plans. A valid driver's license and a strong collaborative approach are required, with a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a helping profession with at least two years of community-based behavioral healthcare experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, human services, counseling, psychiatric rehabilitation, psychology, or criminal justice.
• Certification as Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner may substitute for one year of experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with a clean driving record.
• Work under supervision of licensed professionals within CSS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a wellness and recovery-oriented environment using person-first language and evidence-based practices.
• Participate in Comprehensive Rehabilitation Needs Assessment and IRP development/monitoring.
• Perform crisis intervention and coordinate services with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide illness management education, housing/workforce supports, and community integration activities.
• Document care and guidance in chart notes per CSS regulations.
