Job summary

Bridgeway Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Wellness Specialist in Union, NJ to support people with serious mental illness within Community Support Services. You will join a multi-disciplinary team delivering resource and skill development and direct support to help individuals fully integrate into their chosen community.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practices, wellness planning, and crisis intervention, with on-site hours Sunday through Thursday 9:00am–5:00pm and one late day

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a helping profession from an accredited college or university with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a helping profession is required.
• Master's degree in a helping profession is preferred.
• Individuals with a Bachelor’s degree in a non-helping field must have at least two years of relevant experience.
• Certification as Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a wellness and recovery-oriented environment using person-first language and evidence-based practices.
• Contribute to compliance with internal/external policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Participate in Comprehensive Rehabilitation Needs Assessments and IRP development.
• Provide crisis intervention and coordinate services with the treatment team.
• Offer supportive counseling, medication education, and health wellness education.
