Job summary

Walker Center for Alcoholism and Drug Addiction seeks a Client Support Specialist to ensure the safety, welfare, and comfort of clients in a structured residential setting. Shift: Day (7am-3pm) Tue-Sat; role emphasizes compassionate, hands-on care and a healing environment.

You will monitor wellbeing, assist with daily structure, document care, and coordinate medical appointments while supporting a culture of respect and accountability. CPR within 90 days is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Must obtain Medication Pass Certification within 60 days of hire.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and EMR systems.
• Must pass background check, UA, and TB test.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate supervision and support to clients in a structured residential setting.
• Foster a safe, therapeutic environment that promotes healing and recovery.
• Maintain professional boundaries while building supportive relationships.
• Assist clients with daily structure, schedules, and recovery-focused activities.
• Monitor client well-being and report concerns to clinical staff.
• Perform drug screenings and document results per program standards.
• Assist with scheduling medical appointments and coordinate transportation.
• Mentor new staff to maintain quality care.
