Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist (I-II) for Resident Services in Aurora, CO. This full-time University Staff position provides peer support to adults residing in Recovery Residences, helping them engage in treatment, attend appointments, and connect with community resources to sustain sobriety.

Standard schedule is Tuesday through Saturday with potential extended hours for clinic coverage and treatment placement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess personal lived experience with SUD and maintain continuous recovery.
• Colorado Peer or Family Specialist certifications preferred.
• Experience connecting patients to required services or resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to residents in Recovery Residence(s).
• Assist with enrollment in treatment and intake appointments.
• Help residents attend community appointments after admission.
• Facilitate community linkages as residents transition into the community.
• Coordinate recovery support services and travel to referral sites as needed.
• Draw from lived experience to support sobriety goals.
