Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking three full-time Peer Recovery Specialists for the ARTS Medication Mobile Unit, with on-site roles across the Denver metro area and occasional clinic work in Denver, Aurora or Arvada. You will provide patient navigation, case management and outreach to engage individuals in SUD treatment while maintaining confidentiality and quality care.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of experience working with patients and linking them to resources.
  • Preferred: Associate's degree in a related field and relevant peer certifications.
  • Must be able to obtain CPFS/Peer Certification within six months if not already certified.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Peer Specialist to implement interventions for MMU and clinics.
  • Identify coordination obstacles and ensure duties are performed for patient benefit.
  • Conduct structured peer-led health education and outreach for pregnant/postpartum patients in SUD treatment.
  • Perform case management, referrals, and track engagement to prenatal care.
  • Collaborate with supervisor, attend trainings, and travel to meetings as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records in EHR and document patient data and communications.
  • Work with patients from parole/probation and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Establish community partnerships to support ARTS patients.
