University of Colorado Anschutz seeks two full-time, University Staff Peer Recovery Specialists for the Addiction Research and Treatment Services (ARTS) Adult Outpatient Program with clinic locations in Denver, Aurora, and Arvada. The role engages adults with SUD, provides support, and connects patients to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up sessions.

Working hours are a standard 40-hour week, with potential weeknights or weekends for outreach events.

Qualifications

• Minimum: high school diploma or GED.
• One year of professional experience with connecting individuals in SUD treatment or addictions recovery to resources directly associated with SUD treatment, MAT, or addictions recovery.
• Associate's degree or higher and relevant certification (e.g., CPFS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Peer Recovery Specialist and educator to improve health outcomes for patients entering care at ARTS Adult Outpatient Program (AOP) clinics in Denver, Arvada, Aurora, and/or the ARTS Medication Mobile Unit.
• Conduct case management around social determinants of health and provide referrals to resources.
• Lead structured, peer-led interventions focused on health education, care coordination, and reducing barriers to care.
• Collaborate with supervisor and clinic staff to coordinate and deliver timely services and monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate records and use the EHR to document communications and interventions.
• Schedule and manage appointments and report patient statistics.
