Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks two full-time, University Staff Peer Recovery Specialists for the ARTS Adult Outpatient Program with clinic locations in Denver, Aurora, and Arvada. The role focuses on engaging adults with substance use disorders, coordinating care, and connecting patients to MAT and related resources.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and relevant SUD experience; CPFS or Peer Recovery certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of professional experience with connecting individuals in SUD treatment or addictions recovery to resources.
• Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
• Preferred: Colorado Peer and Family Specialist (CPFS), Peer Recovery Specialist, or Peer Recovery Coach certifications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Peer Recovery Specialist to improve health outcomes at ARTS AOP clinics in Denver, Arvada, Aurora, and at the MAT unit.
• Use a strengths-based, patient-focused approach to identify problems or challenges.
• Conduct case management around housing, Medicaid/Medicare enrollment, food, healthcare access, and referrals to resources.
