Job summary

Recovery Innovations is seeking a Peer Support Specialist I to provide recovery training and peer support at the Crisis - Cumberland Recovery Response Center in Fayetteville, NC. You will help individuals identify goals, teach recovery skills, and advocate for their needs.

This role requires Peer Employment Training certification, a high school diploma, and lived experience with mental health or substance use services. Shifts include two per month and holidays; training is on-site.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use services.
• Successful completion of Peer Employment Training and certification as a Peer Support Specialist is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provides peer support to engage individuals in a recovery partnership.
• Teaches recovery and life skills using recovery tools.
• Models hope and self-advocacy to help individuals meet recovery goals.
• Coordinates with clinical teams to arrange services and resources.
