Recovery Innovations is seeking a Peer Support Specialist I to provide recovery training and peer support to individuals using services at the Crisis - Recovery Response Center in Peoria, AZ. The role involves advocacy, developing supports, and guiding clients toward recovery goals in a structured setting.

The position requires completion of Peer Employment Training for certification, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and the ability to attend court hearings when listed as a witness on a

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to teach recovery information and tools.
• Effective communication skills required.
• Must be able to pass de-escalation training as defined by state requirements.
• Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use services.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to engage individuals in a recovery partnership.
• Teach recovery and life skills using recovery tools.
• Model hope, responsibility and self-advocacy to support recovery goals.
• Assist in developing natural supports and community living.
• Coordinate with clinical team to arrange services or resources.
