Trinity Services Inc. in Illinois seeks a Recovery Support Specialist to assist guests in the Living Room, delivering supportive non-clinical services and crisis management guidance. You will collaborate with clinicians, connect guests to community resources, and help ensure a welcoming, safe environment.

Responsibilities include addressing crises, documenting needs, coordinating with staff, and participating in trainings to obtain CRSS within a year. Evening/weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Lived experience as a consumer of mental health and/or substance use services required.
• High school diploma or GED required; additional education is a plus.
• CRSS certification required.
• WRAP certification or willingness to complete WRAP training.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Supports guests who are experiencing mental health crises
• Connects guests with community resources to help prevent future crises
• Reviews triggers to current crisis to help problem solve future management
• Collaborates with clinicians to ensure guests complete assessments
• Completes trainings to become CRSS within a year
• Works evenings and some weekends to keep Living Room accessible seven days a week
• Participates in staff meetings
• Communicates professionally with staff, guests, and external entities
• Works with Trinity staff to develop events and system improvements
• Reports injuries or needs to Living Room Director
• Advises on immediate or non-immediate medical problems
