Job summary

Bay Cove Human Services seeks a Counselor to deliver clinical services for individuals in recovery from substance use disorders and co-occurring behavioral health disorders. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in social work or closely related field required.
• Minimum of one year supervised counseling experience in substance use disorder/behavioral health treatment settings required.
• Licensure as LADC I/II, CAC, or CADAC preferred.
• Knowledge of substance use treatment continuum and community resources preferred.
• Ability to work with individuals in distress and use independent judgment when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services including assessment, individual and group counseling, and case management.
• Develop and implement biopsychosocial assessments and individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitate counseling sessions and coordinate with multidisciplinary team.
• Complete documentation in the electronic health record per guidelines and deadlines.
• Coordinate care with external providers and community resources; participate in training and supervision.
