Job summary

Bay Cove Human Services is seeking a Recovery Specialist to provide direct support to individuals seeking recovery from Substance Use Disorders and collaborate with the team to ensure day-to-day program operations. The role contributes to the agency's mission by supporting individuals in their recovery journey to wellness.

You will conduct wellness checks, assist in creating a welcoming environment, document adherence to medication policies, and participate in meals and activities under

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Six months experience in health and human service-related field preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends on a scheduled basis, and as-needed with notice.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive care and promote a welcoming environment.
• Conduct wellness checks and document wellbeing as directed.
• Observe and document medication self-administration per policies.
• Assist in meals and program upkeep; prepare rooms for admissions.
• Report safety, security, or maintenance issues to leadership.
• Utilize crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques; provide overdose prevention as needed.
• Complete shift reports, checklists, and incident reports concisely and timely.
• Attend staff meetings, supervision, and required trainings.
