Job summary

Bay Cove Human Services seeks a Recovery Specialist to provide direct support to individuals pursuing recovery from Substance Use Disorders and to collaborate with the team in daily program operations. The role emphasizes adherence to trauma-informed practices, wellness checks, and compassionate care to promote recovery and wellness.

This is a per diem, non-exempt position requiring teamwork, documented communication, and active participation in training and supervision to support clients

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months experience in health and human service-related field preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends on a scheduled basis and as needed with notice.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive care to meet individuals' needs and promote dignity and respect.
• Conduct safety and wellness checks; document observations per policy.
• Observe self-administration of medications and follow program policies.
• Assist in activities and supervision; help prepare meals and rooms for admissions.
• Report safety, security, or maintenance issues to leadership; participate in meetings.
