Job summary

Bay Cove Human Services seeks a Counselor to provide clinical services including assessment, individual and group counseling, and case management for individuals in recovery from substance use disorders and co-occurring behavioral health disorders.

Working under the Clinical Director, you’ll contribute to trauma-informed, person-centered care across Bay Cove’s continuum of care in partnership with other providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related field required.
• Minimum of one year supervised counseling experience in substance use disorder/behavioral health treatment settings required.
• Licensure as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC I or II), CAC, or CADAC preferred.
• Demonstrated clinical writing, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, welcoming environment and address service needs.
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family counseling sessions under supervision.
• Complete documentation in the electronic health record per guidelines.
