Job summary

BayMark Health Services seeks a compassionate Registered Substance Use Counselor to support patients through medically assisted treatments and coping strategies. The counselor will conduct individual and group sessions, evaluate progress, and collaborate with clinicians to improve outcomes in an outpatient setting.

The role requires CA licensure as a Counselor, background check, and a willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Registered Counselor in the State of California
• Experience with chemically dependent populations a plus
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment
• Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan
• Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor
