Pinnacle Treatment Centers, Inc. is seeking a Counselor to support the recovery journey of our patients in a full-time role. You will conduct intakes, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide individual and group counseling within evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree and credentials to provide counseling.
• Kern County requires a bachelors degree or a GED with 75% certification education.
• Bachelors degree or higher preferred for progression to Counselor II/III.
• Licensure or registration as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide orientation to new patients on program rules, policies and patient rights.
• Conduct intakes, discharge planning, initial assessments and treatment plans.
• Develop individualized plans using SNAP throughout care.
• Administer biopsychosocial assessments at intake and ongoing.
• Monitor changes, document relapse indicators and coordinate with team.

Education

Associate degree in relevant field

Bachelor7s degree (Kern County requirement)

Master7s degree preferred for Counselor III
