Job summary

Pinnacle Treatment Centers is seeking a Counselor to support patients on their recovery journey. You will document progress, conduct assessments, and guide clients through program phases while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include intake facilitation, group counseling, crisis counseling, and coordination of referrals. Relevant degrees and licensure are preferred, with ongoing professional development encouraged.

Qualifications

• Requires relevant degrees and licensure in chemical dependency counseling.
• Cadc/CAADC/CADC credentials preferred or in progress with plan to obtain within three years.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with related clinical experience or practicum in health or human services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient databases, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries per state and federal standards.
• Orient patients to program objectives, phase requirements, and rights; ensure understanding of rules and services.
• Assess and place patients according to treatment phases per policy; update charts accordingly.
• Counsel patients in crisis and refer to community resources as needed.
• Coordinate referrals to other agencies; participate in case conferences and reviews.
• Develop knowledge of confidentiality, methadone treatment, and counseling credentials; submit correspondence for review.
• Lead intakes, facilitate group counseling, and conduct urine drug screenings with proper custody.

Associate’s Degree

CAAC (Certified Associate Addiction Counselor)

CADC

Bachelor’s Degree in related field

Master’s Degree or higher in related field
