Job summary

HOPE Arizona is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to assist members in their recovery journey, offering coaching, mentorship, and hands-on support within the center. Role emphasizes advocacy, resource navigation, and collaboration with the outpatient team.

You will guide peers in daily living skills, coordinate transportation, and help maintain a clean, safe center environment. Certification and CPR/First Aid are required.

Qualifications

• Must identify as an individual with lived experience with mental health and/or substance use disorder.
• Graduation from Peer Support certification.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid Arizona Driver’s license with clean MVR - no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years.
• Current 1st Aid and CPR certification.
• TB test results negative within the last year.

Responsibilities

• Relate members' recovery through coaching, role modeling and mentoring.
• Assist members with shower and laundry facilities as needed.
• Provide support with basic living skills (meal prep, budgeting, home organization).
• Transport members to appointments using an agency vehicle.
• Advocate for members to ensure delivery of necessary services.
• Complete documentation for behavioral health records per requirements.
