Job summary

New Freedom in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Peer Coach – Driver to provide recovery-focused peer support, transportation, and advocacy within our programs. You will mentor members, help access treatment, employment resources, and community supports while modeling positive recovery.

This on-site role requires a PRSS certification, a valid AZ driver’s license, and a compassionate, safety-minded approach. You’ll work with treatment teams and community partners to help members succeed in their recovery

Qualifications

PRSS Certification required.
Minimum one year of peer support or related experience (2+ years preferred).
Valid Arizona driver’s license and annual MVR clearance.

Responsibilities

Provide peer support, mentorship, advocacy, and recovery coaching.
Assist members in identifying strengths, setting goals, and developing recovery-focused plans.
Support members in developing life skills, social skills, and community integration strategies.
Transporting members safely to appointments, employment activities, treatment services, community resources, and recovery supports.
Conduct vehicle inspections, mileage logs, and transportation documentation.
Collaborating with clinical, reentry, transitional services, and case management teams to support member success.
