Job summary

Hope Inc in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Peer Recovery Support Specialist to assist members in their recovery journey. You will provide coaching, role modeling and mentoring to strengthen recovery while supporting daily living activities such as shower, laundry, meal prep, and budgeting.

You will also transport clients to appointments and advocate for access to essential services. The role involves coordinating with the outpatient team, documenting in behavioral health records, and preparing group

Qualifications

Must identify as an individual with lived experience with mental health and/or substance use disorder.
High school education or GED required, peer support certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Relates own recovery process to support and mentor members.
Assists members with shower and laundry facilities as needed.
Provides basic living skills support including meal prep and budgeting.
Transports members to appointments using an agency vehicle when needed.
Provides instruction in activities of daily living, nutrition, shopping and organization.
Advocates for members to ensure necessary services are delivered.
Navigator for community resources and liaison with outpatient team.
Completes behavioral health documentation per agency requirements.
Shadows PRSS staff to learn peer functions.
Supports site operations, front desk, kitchen and facilities.
