Job summary

HOPE Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a dedicated Peer Support Specialist to assist members in recovery from mental health and substance use disorders.

You will provide one-to-one and group sessions on site and in members' homes, advocating for services and coordinating with clinical teams. The role requires firsthand experience with behavioral health or a family member’s experience, a valid AZ driver’s license, and current CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Must have first-hand knowledge of a behavioral health condition or substance abuse issue, having received treatment or medication personally or identify as family member of someone in recovery.
• Worked at HOPE Inc. as a certified Peer Support Specialist for at least one year.
• Valid Arizona Driver's license with clean record (no more than 2 moving violations or suspension in 3 years).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• TB test within the last year.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor members to support recovery through one-to-one and group sessions on site or at residences.
• Assist members in articulating recovery goals and plan steps with treatment team.
• Navigate and use community resources to support services and referrals as needed.
• Ensure safety and well-being of members’ living environments and daily living activities.
• Coordinate with Health Home and crisis systems to ensure effective service delivery.
• Complete documentation for behavioral health records per requirements.
