Job summary

Telecare Corporation’s Serenity House CRT in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Full Time Peer Recovery Coach to engage members and support recovery goals within a structured crisis residential program.

The role emphasizes peer-led engagement, recovery culture integration, and de-escalation in emergencies. Requires completion of peer certification, a high school diploma, and a California driver’s license. Training and growth opportunities are offered by Telecare.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Peer Certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained throughout employment.
• One year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting members with behavioral health challenges.
• Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care.
• Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.
• Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
• Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.

Responsibilities

• Engages, inspires, and facilitates conversations to help members explore and meet recovery goals.
• Promotes Telecare’s Recovery Culture per RCCS in which members' views are recognized and integrated into services.
• Responds to critical situations with de-escalation skills to support a least restrictive environment.
• Works with the team to coordinate services and self-help programming for recovery.
• Supports ongoing engagement and recovery planning with members served.
