Job summary

Telecare Corporation is hiring a Peer Recovery Coach (Full Time) to engage with members in recovery and support goal achievement within a new startup program launching December 14, 2026. The role emphasizes RCCS-aligned care, de- escalation, and collaboration with the team to promote recovery-centered services.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, California peer certification, and relevant behavioral health experience.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED and Peer Certification before hire.
• California: obtain Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA before hire date.
• 1 year or part-time equivalent experience supporting members with behavioral health challenges.
• Two years' full-time or part-time experience in a mental health program serving persons with severe and persistent mental disabilities, or a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or behavioral sciences.
• Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system.
• Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.
• Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
• Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc. (weekly mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate).
• Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.

Responsibilities

• Engage, inspire, and facilitate meaningful conversations with members served to help them explore, create, and meet recovery goals.
• Provide consultation to the team to promote Telecare's Recovery Culture (RCCS) and recovery-centered care.
• Respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation to support a least restrictive environment.
