Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Recovery Coach to support participants in Weymouth, MA across outpatient programs. You will promote recovery, remove barriers, and connect clients to community-based services and supports.

The role requires 2+ years of uninterrupted recovery and strong communication, with certification expected within 12 months. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of uninterrupted recovery required
• Recovery coach certification required within 12 months of employment
• Excellent communication, follow-through, collaboration and customer service skills
• Ability to read/write English and communicate effectively in the program's primary language
• Valid driver’s license and access to a safe vehicle for participant transport

Responsibilities

• Promote recovery and remove barriers to recovery
• Serve as a personal guide and mentor for people in recovery from addiction
• Model recovery principles and practices at all times
• Provide linkages to recovery-oriented peer supports and community-based services
• Liaise between the recovery community, addiction treatment system, medical system and participant’s social context
