Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems in Haverhill, MA is seeking a dedicated Recovery Coach to support individuals in recovery and connect them to treatment, peer supports, and community resources. This role emphasizes promoting recovery, reducing barriers, and guiding participants toward goals.

The position requires personal recovery experience, valid driver's license, vehicle access, and ability to document services using an Electronic Health Record system; availability for 1st shift/day hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of uninterrupted recovery required; 3–5 years preferred.
• Recovery coach certification within first 12 months.
• Ability to use an Electronic Health Record to document services.
• Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and customer service.
• Ability to read and write English and communicate in the program's primary language.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a safe, insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Promote recovery and remove barriers to recovery.
• Serve as a personal guide and mentor for people in recovery from addiction.
• Model recovery principles and practices at all times.
• Provide linkages to recovery-oriented supports and services and community-based programs.
• Serve as a liaison between the recovery community, treatment systems, and the member’s community and family.
