Job summary

Behavioral Health Network, Inc. in Western Massachusetts is seeking a Recovery Coach to mentor adults on their recovery journeys.

You will use motivational interviewing and peer support to help individuals build recovery capital, develop wellness plans, and connect with healthcare providers and community supports. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, at least 2 years in sustained recovery, Recovery Coach Academy training (or ability to complete within 4 weeks), CARC certification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 2 years in sustained recovery from addiction is required.
• Recovery Coach Academy & Ethical Considerations training, or ability to complete within 4 weeks of hire.
• Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) or working toward certification within 1–2 years.
• Knowledge of diverse recovery pathways (12-step, peer-based, harm reduction, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery coaching services to a minimum of 20 individuals.
• Facilitate goal-setting through SMART goals and wellness planning.
• Offer education on relapse prevention, harm reduction, and recovery strategies.
• Conduct weekly coaching sessions and at least one in-person meeting monthly.
• Connect individuals with healthcare, housing, employment, and community supports.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in alignment with agency standards.
• Engage with the broader recovery community and lead information sessions.
