Job summary

Advantage Behavioral Health Systems in Athens, GA is seeking a Paraprofessional to provide recovery coaching and group skills training to participants in Behavioral Health Crisis Services. You will document client interactions in the EHR and participate in treatment-team planning to support individualized goals.

Under supervision, you will facilitate recovery pathways, link clients to community resources, and uphold confidentiality while building a strengths-based care approach in community

Qualifications

Must have a diagnosis of mental illness, addiction, or a dual diagnosis and identify as a person with mental illness (current or former consumer).
GED or High School diploma; at least 18 years old.
Experience with leadership, advocacy, or governance; rooted in recovery (per CPS/CARES guidelines).
Certified Peer Specialist or CARES certification required.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one recovery coaching sessions and group skills training.
Document all client interactions in the EHR.
Utilize Motivational Interviewing techniques during coaching.
Assist clients to identify and link to community resources.
Attend treatment team meetings and participate in plan development.
