Job summary

Centra Wellness Network seeks a Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery-based services to adults with mental health challenges. Join a multi-disciplinary team focused on inclusion, independence and resiliency, with a nature-surrounded office location in Michigan.

You will mentor clients, advocate for them, and help them engage in community activities while maintaining professional standards and strong communication with staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred.
• Must be in recovery from major mental health issues and receive services if needed.
• Peer Recovery Coach Certification or working toward it.
• First Aid and CPR certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery-based services and supports as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Focus on client recovery and community inclusion.
• Assist clients to achieve independence, participation, and productivity.
• Complete tasks as assigned by supervisor.
