Job summary

Training & Treatment Innovations, Inc. seeks a compassionate Peer Support Specialist to assist individuals living with mental illness in pursuing recovery, independence and community integration.

You will provide person-centered support, help access services, coordinate care, and accompany clients to appointments. A lived experience with mental health services and willingness to obtain Michigan Peer Support Specialist Certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have lived experience as a primary consumer of community mental health services.
• Willingness to obtain Michigan Peer Support Specialist Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support and build meaningful, trusting relationships.
• Help individuals access medical, mental health, housing, employment, and social services.
• Support recovery through education, advocacy, and skill-building.
• Transport individuals to appointments and community resources as needed.
• Coordinate care and act as a liaison between individuals and community supports.
• Monitor progress and adapt support strategies based on changing needs.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
• Facilitate groups and participate in team meetings and trainings.
