Job summary

Gosnold in Wareham, MA seeks a Recovery Aide (32 hours per week) to serve as a lead liaison among staff and patients. The role supports recovery, wellness, and engagement in group activities within a behavioral health setting.

Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 1-3 years in addiction/mental health. CPR certification and a MA driver’s license are preferred. Training and group facilitation experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1-3 years in addiction or mental health; ability to cover weekends; high-stress, fast-paced environment; comfortable speaking in front of groups.
• Skills: Computer literate; knowledge of sanitation, cleanliness, safety, and facility upkeep.
• Certificates, Licenses: CPR certification or CPR certifiable.
• Preferred: Valid MA Driver’s License; experience with addiction/mental health; experience facilitating groups.

Responsibilities

• Monitor high-risk patients; assist with group participation; report outcomes daily to supervisors.
• Conduct specialty groups (Under 30, WRAP, YAOPs); document attendance in EMR.
• Track program evaluations and report data to leadership.
• Relate and communicate effectively with patients in a treatment setting.
• Participate in recovery-oriented activities and monitor adherence to program guidelines.
• Document observations in patient records and logs; prepare incident reports.
• Support counseling team; meet with patients individually when appropriate.
• Uphold Gosnold’s policies and boundaries; perform other duties as assigned.
