The Minnesota Department of Public Safety is seeking a Records Agent to provide top‑notch customer service for driver and vehicle records, in person and via electronic mail. This role handles requests for licenses, registrations, titling, and related inquiries from law enforcement and customers.

You will locate records, print copies, and process fees while ensuring compliance with data privacy laws. The position supports a Monday–Friday day shift at Town Square in St. Paul.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications include: customer service skills, ability to explain policies clearly, and effective written communication.
• Experience with maintaining electronic or paper records for efficient retrieval.
• Ability to explain policies to internal and external customers in a professional manner.
• Word processing skills to prepare emails, memos, reports and documents.
• Knowledge of state policies and procedures related to driver and vehicle services.
• Basic math skills for handling fee calculations and transactions.

Responsabilités

• Assist DVS customers with records requests and inquiries in person or by email.
• Locate customer records in the electronic DVS system and provide copies as needed.
• Perform counter operations and accurate fee collection following privacy laws.
• Provide primary in-person and electronic mail contact for DVS customers and offices.
